Muhurat: Pradosh Kaal Muhurat.

Maa Lakshmi Pujan Vidhi

Shuddi: Take a holy bath to cleanse yourself and clean the puja area with pure water. 

Pratishtapana: Place the idol or image of Goddess Lakshmi on the red cloth on the clean elevated platform. Create a rangoli design around the altar using rice or rangoli powder and flowers.

Deepam: Light the oil lamps or diyas and incense sticks. Arrange them around the altar.

Ganesha Puja: Before worshipping Goddess Lakshmi, it’s customary to invoke Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, Vighna Vinashaka. Offer prayers, light a diya, and make offerings to Lord Ganesha if you have an idol or image.

Lakshmi Puja: Offer your prayers to Goddess Lakshmi by chanting her mantras or simply expressing your devotion and gratitude. You can use the following mantra:

“Om Shri Mahalakshmyai Namaha” (ॐ श्री महालक्ष्म्यै नमः) Offer flowers, sweets, and fruits to the goddess. You can offer arghya, padya and achamana.

Worship Notes or Coins: Place some currency notes or coins in front of the idol as a symbol of wealth. You can also worship the jewels if you wish to. 

Arati: Perform the arati (light waving) in a clockwise direction around the idol. You can sing devotional songs during the arati.

Prayers and Wishes: Express your desires and offer heartfelt prayers to Goddess Lakshmi for blessings, wealth, and prosperity.

Distribute Prasad: After completing the puja, distribute the sweets and fruits and prepared prasad to family members and guests.

Visarjana: Conclude the puja with a closing prayer, seeking the goddess’s blessings for the well-being of your family and loved ones. Slightly miss place the idol to complete the ritual.
